long time

it's been a long time since we last posted so will think of something new and perhaps post some newer pics. have to do this more often.

Pictures

Grandma Wiles asked if there were any new pictures so I got mommy to put some up. Also have some school pictures that mommy just got the order form for. The pictures will be available to be viewed online at the following address. You can order online too! They should be available tomorrow 9/22/09. Mom says orders with payment are due this friday 9/25!

mommy day planting fowlers

On Mommy's day we went to gamma gampa's house and I got to help plant fowlers(flowers)!! I played in the dirt and helped gamma pick the fowlers for each pot. Then, when we were done playing in the dirt, I helped clean up by putting all of the old plastic things that the flowers were in into the garbage. It sure was fun. Mommy brought some of the flowers home too so I get to water them every day. They are so pretty.

Easter - coloring eggs

On Easter, mommy, daddy and I all went to gamma gampa's house. We had a yummy lunch and got to color easter eggs. I like to make them with all the colors. It was lots of fun and after we were done with that, we had an easter egg hunt on the deck. I had lots of fun and mommy says I was getting too smart because they couldn't hide them fast enough. It was really fun.

Mommy...pick fowlers?

On April 25, I picked my mommy some really pretty lello fowlers (yellow flowers) and she put them in a vase on the counter. She didn't take the picture until some of the flowers falled down but here they are anyway. Thanks gamma for the pretty vase.

Lego Land Discovery Centre

We went to Legos on Saturday and it was sooo much fun! They had Chicago built out of legos and I wanted to be destruct-o and play in them but daddy wouldn't let me. It was really neat because after a while it got to be night in Chicago and the lights came on in the lego houses. Then, we went on a safari and saw monkeys, bears, spiders, lizards and other cool lego animals. When that was done I got to play with big, foam legos and helped a little boy build a tower. And that's not all! There was a great big place with lots of people where you could play with legos all day long!!! I played with a little girl a few years older than me and helped her build. Mommy was able to build her own tower and put it on a plate that shook it like an earthquake and it didn't fall down! When I get older I can do that too and even build my own car to see how it works. Finally, before we went home we got to see how legos are made and I got my own souvenir lego to bring home.

New Pictures

Hi everyone. I know it's been a long time since any new pictures were posted on my website and so I finally kicked mommy hard enough to have her get some up. They are from Christmas and playing in the snow. I still don't really like the cold, wet snow but mommy and daddy are trying to change that. I got so many new toys I have to get mommy or daddy to take pictures of them for here too! Hope you had a good Christmas and have a happy New Year!!

getting much more talkative

my words are getting so much better lately. i can say "neck" and "dice" really well (those are the most recent new words). mommy and daddy can't believe i am growing up so quickly. i have become quite rebellious and cranky but thats just because i am in a growth spurt. it seems like i am hungry all day! the last time i had my shots mommy said i did a good job, barely cried at all, and the lady gave me a sticker. those things are really cool to stick and unstick. sorry i haven't written in a while. mommy hasn't let me on the computer :)

i really like it at daycare now and hardly ever cry when mommy and daddy drop me off in the morning. i hope it is as fun when they put me in the 2's room later this month. i am in that room in the morning before the teacher gets there and one little girl bit me 3x in 3 days! hopefully they arent so mean later. i sleep through the night and am a pretty happy kid. should be new pictures soon, mommy just has to get them out of the camera.

Bathtub poop

So, for the first time yesterday I was all done with my bath and had let the water go down the drain but had the feeling that I had to poop, so I did. Right there in the bathtub. Then, when mommy tried to take me out to clean me up again I stepped right in it. Mommy and daddy both said "yuck" but I thought it was pretty funny!

Trip to Springfield - Labor Day weekend

Hi everyone. Well, mommy, daddy and me went to Springfield on sunday and had a really great time. We went to the Abraham Lincoln museum where there is a place called "Mrs Lincoln's Attic" where kids of all ages can play with the same type of toys that the Lincoln children did when they were alive. There was so much to play with that I didn't want to leave!! After that we took a long walk to Lincoln's old neighborhood where he used to live. The houses and the area around them are still the same as when he lived there so it was pretty cool looking, or at least mommy and daddy liked it. I thought it was a little too hot to be outside that long. After a long walk back to the car we went to the museum of funeral customs (which is at the entrance to the cemetery where Lincoln is buried) and I wanted to touch and climb on everything. There was a cool table looking thing with a pretty cloth on it that just looked really comfortable but mommy and daddy said I couldn't touch it. I wanted to play with the statues set up to show one of the funerals for Lincoln but they said no again. Man they are party-poopers sometimes!! After we were done there we went into Lincoln's tomb. It's pretty big for a tomb. Mommy and daddy were holding my hand as we walked through when we passed a statue of a soldier on a horse. I looked at daddy and he said "it's ok" so I started marching like the soldier I saw there. I did this throughout the entire time we were in the tomb and kept trying to walk away from mommy and daddy when we were walking around the cemetery. We went down lots of stairs (mommy carried me) but I climbed all of them all by myself!! A few older ladies passed by and said if I could climb those stairs that they could too! It was lots of fun and I hope we can go back again soon!

Trip to the park

Went on a trip to the park yesterday and had lots of fun running away from mommy! I love going on the slide and the swing too!

i have a new cousin!

daddy told me that grandpa called to say that my new cousin gavin was just born yesterday. mommy and daddy are trying to have us see gavin, aunt johanna and uncle will on sunday. i have never seen a new baby before. its going to be great! i love little kids hopefully i dont get too rough. sometimes i try to pet the kitties but end up hitting them on the head or pulling their hair. i'm sure that mommy and daddy will watch me with gavin so i dont hurt him. i hope we can be best buddy cousins. welcome to the world, gavin! can't wait to meet you!

happy birthday america and the zoo

yesterday was LOTS of fun!! Grandma and Grandpa Wiles came out to visit and even Aunt Sarah, Uncle Jim and my buddy Jonathan did too! It was SOOOO much fun! We played outside all day and I got to help Jonathan ride on my bike. He pushed me on it too! We got to catch bubbles and just run around. Daddy grilled out on our new grill. I had a hot dog and LOTS of melon. I got to have green ones and orange ones and red ones (honeydew, cantelope, watermelon). It was soo very tasty! Jonathan ate my noodles off my plate and then dumped the rest on our blanket but that was ok. I was done with that stuff anyway. After dinner we came inside and had ice cream and brownies. Grandma fed the ice cream to me and it was just so tasty. Aunt Sarah's brownies were really good too. Then I fell asleep on daddy for a few hours. I didnt get to see any fireworks because it was past my bedtime but they didnt scare me either. it was such a good day i was just too pooped to stay up. thank you grandma and grandpa for coming down to visit. thanks aunt sarah and uncle jim for bringing jonathan over too. its so much fun to play with other kids.

today we went to some garage sales where daddy bought me a book and then we went to the zoo! it was pretty neat. there were big kitty cats and the meerkat was chasing me in his cage. we saw pretty butterflies and birdies, monkeys and lemurs, seals and alpacas. i got to pet a couple of goats and saw a lady holding a giant cockroach. i like the zoo but dont like riding around in my stroller. i would much rather walk. mommy and daddy kept saying "bye, bye" so that i would follow them since i dont like holding hands too much either. i am a big girl and dont need a stroller or hand to walk. it was so much fun that i fell right asleep when i got into my car seat. i think mommy and daddy are going to go out for garage sales tomorrow too so maybe we will find some cool toys or clothes for me. oh yeah, and i cant wait to see my new cousin just as soon as he is born! aunt johanna is due tomorrow!

I have my own room!

Well, its been about a month that Mommy, Daddy and I moved in to our new house. I even have my own room! It is soooo much fun with my toys and I sleep really good in my crib. I dance with my lion almost every day. Mommy says she will put new pictures on here soon. I will be sure to take some pictures of my new room too.

I can walk by myself

I have been walking while holding Mommy or Daddy's finger for quite a while but haven't been too confident to let go and try it myself. Until yesterday. I started to take a few steps on my own when I had things in both hands. It's a lot easier to carry your stuff when you walk instead of crawl! Today I am walking with nothing in my hands and no help. It's just a matter of time before I'm off running!!

Remembering Matt

Life is a difficult one sometimes. This week I have learned that the best people end up living unbelievably short lives. Another of the first born children in my family has passed away tragically. Matthew J. Munchalfen was only 19 years old when he was taken from us this past saturday. He lived his life to the fullest, though. Always outdoors living. He wasnt like most people these days, sitting around watching tv and surfing the internet. That is something I will always admire about him. He was my little brother's age and they were pretty close when they were younger. I am glad to say that Joli was able to meet him and play with him when we were there for the fourth of July. Unfortunately, she will not remember him. He was a great kid and it is a big loss to our family. I will look for pics to post in rememberance of him.

Meats

I started eating meats a couple of days ago and they are pretty good. I get one jar at lunch time and I think it gives me a bunch of energy to get through the day! So far I have tried turkey, chicken and ham.

I'm REALLY active now

I learned how to crawl a couple of weeks ago and I can really move now! Mommy and Daddy had to watch Great Grandma's house for a week and it was really nice. Mommy came home from work and made dinner every night and I wanted to see what she was doing. I kept crawling into the kitchen to watch her! Sassy the cat and I are buddies. We were playing with her cat toy (the ball with a bell in it) and she kept passing it back to me. It was a lot of fun!! whenever there is open space, put me on the floor and i will go all over!!!

She's a genius!!!

today i went to visit with great grandma thomas and had a lot of fun! i saw the clip for grandma thomas's cell phone and i went "shopping" in her purse like i always do. but, the genius part was because i immediately grabbed the cell phone out of the purse and tried to put the clip onto it! daddy couldnt believe it!!

mommy is working now and i get to play with daddy during the day. i miss mommy, though. i only get to see her for a few hours in the morning before she goes to work and then she gets home after my bedtime.

Happy baby!

During the last week I have been able to show everyone how happy I am. I even let other people besides mommy and daddy hold me without too much complaining! A couple of weeks ago we went to Grandma Terri's house and I got to play with Grandpa John for a while! It was a lot of fun! I smile and laugh all day now. Mommy and daddy love to see me so happy.

Grandma Terri bought some butter cookies for me and I LOVE them!! They are soooo good! I get to make a huge mess but its really fun too. Thanks for the cookies!

Great Aunt Lois and Uncle Arnie

I met my Great Aunt and Uncle from Texas! They were in town for Uncle Arn's reunion and we had a cookout for them too. I can't believe we have such a big family! Are there more people I haven't met yet?!! It was a lot of fun. As soon as I get a picture I will have mommy post one here.

Fourth of July in Girard

Mommy, Daddy and me got to spend the weekend at Aunt Joanne and Uncle John's house in Girard. It was sooooo much fun! I got to go swimming in the lake with a life jacket on. It wasn't quite as fun as swimming in Aunt Penny's pool. Maybe it was the life jacket or possibly the fact that my head got wet. My cousin Angela and her friend Becca babysat me for about an hour while Mommy and Daddy went shopping for more baby food. It was a lot of fun playing with other kids. Lets see, Grandma Terri got to hold me for about 2 hours or so and I even fell asleep on her. Oh, I almost forgot about the fireworks!! I got to sit with Mommy and Daddy and watch all the pretty colors in the sky. The sound didn't scare me at all! In fact, I got mad when mommy tried to cover my ears. After a little while, I even fell asleep with all that noise. It was sooo much fun. I can't wait until next year!!

I'M SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!

Mommy and Daddy didn't want to say anything and jinx the fact that I have been sleeping all night for the past week or so! I go to sleep all on my own at about 7:30pm and don't wake up until between 6 and 7:30am! At first I did stir a bit but have learned how to put myself to sleep and it is much better than always crying when I'm tired! I'm also eating 2 tubs of fruits/vegetables along with my cereal so it's about time to start on Gerber's 2nd foods. There are also new things to try with those so that will be really cool! Mommy and Daddy are bringing me to the doctor on the 9th and I will be able to eat meats and drink juice. I'm trying to figure out what the sippy cup is and how do I use it. And I'm not quite ready for finger foods because I choke on the big pieces. So, I get to play with food, like french fries, to learn what it is. I am getting so big. Oh yeah, I also have one bottom tooth poking out and another on it's way!

Swimming on Father's Day

I went swimming in Aunt Penny's pool on Daddy's day with Mommy! It was a little scary at first but I really liked it!! I even started kicking my legs to go. Mommy and Daddy are going to make sure I know how to swim even though they don't very well. It rained a little so Daddy took me out since I don't like water on my head but it made me cry because I didn't really want to get out! Next time we go to Aunt Penny's house we are gonna go swimming again! Oh yeah, Grandma Terri found the bathing suit for me and it actually matched Mommy's somehow! Next time Mommy and Daddy are going to buy me some swim pants so I don't have to worry about peeing in the pool or filling up my diaper really quick. I can't wait until my next adventure! Maybe we'll go to the club and play in the sand?!
